Community Art Education: Theory and Practice
Objectives:
- Identify an area of interest relating to community based art education
- Research, design, and implement a sustainable community arts based project
- Create project according to needs and expectations of site/population
Goal #1: make something happen
Goal #2: Change something for the better
Goal #3: Make it sustainable
NOTE:
I knew I wanted something radically different. Instead of the usual assumption that I was going somewhere to teach, I reinterpreted the role of teacher as facilitator and let this experience teach me.
